Edward Ruiz : May 26 - June 2

Dallas artist Edward Ruiz will be showing new work entitled “The Girls of Summer.” The reception is Saturday, May 28 from 7:00-9:00 PM and the show will hang from May 23 through June 2, 2005. Admission is free to the reception and art is available for viewing during regular gallery hours, which are Saturdays from 1-5 PM or by appointment.

Ruiz transforms the IR Gallery space into an exhibit that features flirty, 60’s inspired mod girls painted on such substrates as vintage fabric-on-stretchers, bamboo, and tin in the style of 60’s dress patterns. The Girls of Summer are relaxed and perfectly carefree in their art-fashion universe.

Ruiz is a Dallas, Texas native and owner-pioneer of Avenue Arts Venue in Exposition Park.
